All of Cultivating Community’s programs are rooted in the idea that everyone has the right to good food. This giving season join us in our mission to provide access to food and growing space for all in Souther Maine!
We believe that our community is stronger when everyone is able to have equal access to healthy, local food; nutrition and garden education; growing spaces and opportunities to create their own sustainable future.
We know that specific members in our community, especially people of color, have inequitable access to all of the above. We have made it our mission to grow sustainable communities by expanding access to healthy, local food; empowering children, youth, and adults to play diverse roles in restoring the local, sustainable food systems; and modeling, teaching, and advocating for ecological food production.
But even more importantly, we have made it our priority to support people of color in our community and continue to prioritize their needs in our programming.
